HONOLULU - Mesa Air Group Inc., the parent of interisland carrier go!, is suing Mokulele Airlines, claiming the Kona-based interisland carrier failed to pay nearly $400,000 in fuel expenses.

The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Arizona on Monday. Mesa is seeking late payments and interest from Mokulele.

The two airlines joined forces last year to serve smaller Hawaii airports including Kapalua, Maui; Lanai and Molokai under the go!Express name.

The flights use three nine-seat Cessna 208B Grand Caravans owned by Mokulele.

Mokulele announced last week that it would expand its interisland service through a venture with Indianapolis-based Republic Airways.
