Three new federal bankruptcy judges have been appointed for Arizona.

Attorney Daniel P. Collins and Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Edward Ballinger Jr. were appointed to fill the spots in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court's Phoenix division.

Attorney Brenda Moody Whinery also was appointed to a similar post in the court's Tucson division.

Collins and Ballinger replace Judges Charles Case II and Redfield Baum Sr., respectively.

Whinery will take the spot held by Judge James Marlar.
