Next, we'll hear Rush Limbaugh tell us that this is proof that global warming is a fraud. Well, the meterology behind global warming predicts both higher average temperatures, which has been documented, and more extreme weather conditions, i.e. more incidents of both unsually colder and wamer as well as wetter and drier weather.
So all of you global warming nea sayers. "It's here! It's now! Get used to it!"

Seriously, protect your outdoor pets and cover your plants. Do not use plastic to keep the plants safe. Sad this article did not give any tips for people to keep their pets and plants safe. It is going to be sooooo cold if this prediction is correct.

"Lows could be in the high teens to low 30s..."
--------------------
Where did these numbers come from? No one else is predicting numbers in the "high teens". Even the Tribune's own weather page is predicting number just below freezing. Perhaps 30° or 29°, but not in the teens.

To Dale: ...so what you and all of the other folks that believe in the global warming theory...no matter if it's cold, or warm, raining or not raining or if there are more hurricanes or less hurricanes, more wind or less wind, flooding or draughts, it's global warming...wow, you certainly have all types of weather occurances covered, don't you? I guess I just don't share your confidence in this type of thinking...there are just as many if not more climate scientists that have an opposing view on this global warming issue that actually has some substance to it based on real findings and facts. Get used to it, you say...well, weather is always changing and we humans have very little control over it...have a Happy New Year Dale! and stay "warm".

You have all the bases covered don't you? Anything changes and it's Global Warming.
Global Warming is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American People.
The atmosphere of this planet is a highly chaotic system that is only poorly understood. So-called scientists who claim that they understand it and can model it are extremely ignorant, arrogant or probably both.
