High temperatures and gusty winds have put much of central and southern Arizona under an excessive heat warning Tuesday, with a fire weather watch and red flag warning for northern Arizona, according to the National Weather Service website.
The website reports Tuesday’s afternoon highs in the Valley could be 108 to 112. Winds may reach 13 mph.
On Wednesday, the high temperature in the Valley is expected to reach 106, with winds up to 28 mph Wednesday night.
While high temperatures Wednesday in Flagstaff will reach only 71, parts of northern Arizona could see gusts up to 55 mph on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service website.
