Neighbors braced themselves as rain poured down in Apache Junction. Water covered the streets and several roads were blocked as washes filled up with water.
One retirement community was filled with water. The Mi Casa Rehabilitation Center was built around a canal so water was about four feet deep in some parts.
"I looked outside and I said it's going to be a good one," said neighbor Mary Weiss.
Weiss said her neighborhood floods everytime it rains. She said the worst she's seen was in 2008.
No homes were threatened because of the flood
