Vintage baseball scores ace with players, fans
Tony Love of the Red Bills team swings for the ball while “Tallymaster” Brooke Rawlinson, left, and “arbitrator” Ken Skinner, right, watch at Saturday’s tournament.
Devin Bagby of Surprise rings the “Tallymaster’s” bell to document his run for his team, the Red Bills, at Willow Canyon High School Saturday. By vintage baseball rules, each time a runner rounds all the bases, they must ring the bell and say, “Tallymaster, I swear I scored an ace,” to earn a point.
