iCoachBoomers and the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center announced that Glen Spencer will be a panelist for the expert-led workshop, Maximizing Entitlements, at "Boomers – Now What?” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 11 at the VOSJCC on Scottsdale Road and Sweetwater in Scottsdale.

The cost is $45 per person and includes lunch. Parking is free.

Spencer, the program director for benefits assistance for the Area Agency on Aging, Region I in Phoenix, is a veritable encyclopedia of benefits available to qualifying people in Maricopa County. Most definitely the go-to person on Medicare benefits, Spencer heads up, trains and supervises a staff and volunteer army of some 60 people who provide the most current, the most specific, and often the hardest to uncover information about and how to best utilize Medicare benefits.

Spencer is also wired into all aspects of benefits and services available to targeted populations under the umbrella of the Area Agency on Aging, Region I. On a daily basis, he connects clients with services such as home delivered meals, respite care for caregivers, HIV care, late-life domestic violence, etc.

Joining Spencer on Maximizing Entitlements is Jim Schwartz, a Certified Financial Planner, who is to discuss Maximizing Social Security benefits. This pairing of Spencer and Schwartz offers conference attendees a rare opportunity to simultaneously learn about and ask questions about both Medicare and Social Security together in one setting, in one time period.

“Boomers – Now What?” is co-sponsored by iCoachBoomers and the VOSJCC. iCoachBoomers specializes in helping people downsize their needs and upsize their goals. iCoachBoomers works with individuals, couples, families and small groups.

Registration: 480-483-7121, Ext. 1230 and Erins@VOSJCC.org.

Information: 505-470-5884 and janet@icoachboomers.com.
