The Master Gardener volunteers from the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Maricopa County, will sponsor the 10th annual Real Gardens for Real People self-guided garden tour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The tour showcases six gardens in Surprise, Sun City West, Peoria and Glendale that are designed, maintained, and nurtured by Maricopa County Master Gardeners. The tour also will feature a community garden that includes composting, organic gardening, use of recycled materials, container gardening and garden art.

Guest speakers will be on site at the various gardens to give talks and answer gardening questions on many different topics, from soil and irrigation basics to attracting wildlife and growing edible treats in your garden.

Tickets, $20, can be purchased online at http://cals.arizona.edu/maricopa/garden/gardentour.htm until noon today.
