Attention bookworms: You can get great deals on more than 500,000 books and related items during the 56th annual VNSA Used Book Sale at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix. Sale runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12.

Items for sale include hardbound books, paperbacks, texts, videos, CDs, computer manuals, maps, puzzles, and more. Almost all books will be half-price all day Sunday.

Proceeds benefit local nonprofit human services agencies, including Arizona friends of Foster Children Foundation and Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County, Inc. Since 1987, VNSA, a local, all-volunteer group, has contributed over $5 million from the annual sale to local charities.

Admission is free. Purchases can be made with cash, checks with ID, Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards. The fairgrounds charges for parking.
