Residents are sought to give their time in various volunteer capacities at Taliesin West in Scottsdale, pre-eminent American architect Frank Lloyd Wright's studio. 

Mosquito fogging today in Scottsdale

An area bordered by McDowell, Hayden, McKellips and Pima roads in south Scottsdale will undergo mosquito fogging from 10 p.m. today through 5 a.m. Sunday by trucks from the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department.

The fogging operations are to help control the spread of West Nile virus. Locations are subject to change, officials said.

Stay cool at pool's 'dive-in movie'

Enjoy a fun-filled movie while staying cool in the pool with family and friends at a "dive-in movie" at 7:30 p.m. today at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatics and Fitness Center, 15525 N. Thompson Peak Parkway.

Games and crafts will be offered. Admission to the pool is $2 during the event, but entrance fees before the showing remain the same.

Taliesin West hosts volunteer fair

Residents are sought to give their time in various volunteer capacities at Taliesin West in Scottsdale, pre-eminent American architect Frank Lloyd Wright's studio.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation is hosting a volunteer fair from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30p.m. Aug. 20 at Taliesin West. Training classes will begin in mid-September.
