Linthicum was honored for excellence and innovation in addressing complex building issues for its role in building the Cesar Chavez Library in Phoenix.
The company, which has a local office in Scottsdale, earned a Gold Nugget Award of Merit from Pacific Coast Builders Conference for the library, which is sunken in the ground with a lakefront setting and views of the South Mountain range.
The library was designed as an energy-efficient building and includes a 150,000 volume collection of newspapers, magazines, books, DVDs ad CDs. Also provided is a children’s story room, a computer training lab and a community meeting room.
Linthicum specializes in commercial buildings in Arizona, California and Hawaii. This is company’s the seventh Gold Nugget Award.
