Debbie and Bruce Benson of Chandler are reflected in their 1937 Ford, one of the cars they recently brought to the Goodguys auto auction at West-World of Scottsdale.

“We’ve always had cars. We’ve probably had 150 in our 35 years of marriage,” says Debbie Benson.

Currently, they have just two for sale, the Ford and a 1932 Roadster. Bruce Benson has worked on the Ford for seven years and the roadster for two.

The couple’s two daughters, now in their 20s, have raced go-carts and did very well in the events.

Bruce Benson has a favorite saying for them, “Drive it like you stole it.”

He is a native Arizonan and Debbie has lived here since she was a few months old.

Over the years, they’ve built five street rods and they regularly attend NASCAR events and car shows throughout the state.
