Gov. Janet Napolitano will join local dignitaries and military members 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the city's annual Veterans Day observance at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, 7301 E. Indian Bend Road, city officials announced.
Scottsdale Mayor Mary Manross will also speak at the event, which begins at 3 p.m. with a 30-minute performance by the 108th Army National Guard Band.
Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
Howard Lien, founder of the Arizona division of Sentinels of Freedom, will be the keynote speaker. The Sentinels is a private, nonprofit foundation that provides scholarships and support to members of the armed services who have been seriously injured in the line of duty.
