Guadalupe girl top four finalist for ‘youth of year’

East Valley Youth of the Year Adrianna Henderson was named a top four finalist for the state Youth of the Year title during Tuesday’s competition.

For being a finalist, Henderson, a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley’s Thunderbirds Branch — Guadalupe, will receive $1,500 in scholarship money from Fiesta Bowl Charities. That’s in addition to the scholarship of $20,000 from the Victoria Lund Foundation she will receive for winning the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley’s Youth of the Year competition.

Henderson is a senior at Horizon Honors High School in Ahwatukee Foothills.

Anthony Wimberly of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson was named the Arizona “Youth of the Year.”
