Two East Valley McDonald’s restaurants are hosting literacy events Saturday in celebration of Día del Niño (Day of the Child).
The first will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the McDonald’s at 1325 W. Broadway Road in Tempe. The Mesa McDonald’s at 3580 E. University Drive will host its event 11 a.m. to noon.
Families can enjoy a variety of literacy activities including free books for the first 100 children, a Ronald McDonald Reading Party and free literacy information.
