A Scottsdale Dairy Queen was operating without a menu board after an electrical short caused a small fire Friday.
Fire crews were dispatched to the Dairy Queen at 11200 E. Via Linda at about 11:45 a.m., said Tiffani Nichols, Scottsdale fire department spokeswoman.
The fire was quickly put out with a fire extinguisher and was confined to the menu board, Nichols said.
