Iris Jessica Ortiz was taken into custody at a Phoenix area motel on May 5 after detectives developed leads connecting them to the robbery/kidnapping of the victim on April 20. Several of the items stolen from the victim were recovered during the investigation and both suspects admitted involvement in the crime.
