Ahwatukee Foothills resident Paul Lobsenz is shaken up after leaving his backyard gate open on Monday, allowing his 13-year-old, white Bichon Frise-Shih Tzu mix to escape around 1 p.m. on Oct. 8.
“I left the gate open by accident and she took off, she’s never done this,” Lobsenz said.
Neighbors said they last saw the dog, appropriately named “Tukee” on Mountain Parkway, between Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard, near the mountain preserve by her home.
Although Tukee is 13, she looks much younger and resembles a white poodle when you see her, Lobsenz said.
Unfortunately, Tukee does not have on a collar with tags and she is not microchipped.
Lobsenz is offering a $100 reward for Tukee’s safe return.
