Q: Where are you from and what did you do before opening your business?
A: Alexis is from Sharon, Mass., just south of Boston. Mark is from Detroit. Mark went to law school planning to get out as a single guy ... then met Alexis after about three weeks and they got married right after graduation. They both worked in other law offices prior to starting their personal injury firm together.
Q: Why did you open your business in Ahwatukee?
A: Ahwatukee was home before we even moved to Arizona. When we were in law school, we knew we would want to settle down and raise a family in one place. We visited Ahwatukee and knew immediately we wanted to move here. We now live and raise our eight children in Ahwatukee.
Q: How did you get the idea to open your business?
A: Well, there were no personal injury lawyers in Arizona so we thought it would be a unique concept (just kidding). Mark loves going to trial but we both also had a strong interest in actually being able to help real people with the firm we started. We also saw a lack of other firms able to give the combination of fighting for clients and excelling in client communication, which is a combination that we are dedicated to for all our clients.
Q: What type of merchandise/services do you sell?
A: We limit our representation to helping people who have suffered very serious injuries or to assisting families after the loss of a loved one caused by the negligence of someone else.
Q: What does your business offer that no one else does?
A: We believe there is a "Husband and Wife Law Team Difference" that our clients receive before, during and after their case. We offer an unsurpassed combination of ability, commitment, accomplishments and service to our clients. Mark is a certified specialist, one of the less than 2 percent of all Arizona lawyers who is certified by the state bar in injury and wrongful death litigation. He has also received the highest possible rating in ethics and legal ability by the most prestigious attorney rating service in the country. Both individually and as a firm we have received many awards. We understand that our clients are usually suffering through the most difficult times of their lives and we are focused on helping in every way we can throughout the process.
Q: How have residents of the community responded to your business?
A: The support we have received from Ahwatukee has been tremendous from the very beginning. While we now represent those who live throughout Arizona (and, many times, throughout the USA and world) it all started with the support of the people who live here in Ahwatukee and trusted us when we could not show a long line of success. Instead, the people of Ahwatukee met with us and trusted us, and that was the start of everything that we have been able to achieve thus far since opening our office in 1996.
Q: What does your business have in store for the future?
A: We will continue to build on our success and commitment to our clients. We continue to expand our efforts to let people know that they have real options when it comes to hiring injury lawyers.
