You can’t fix stupid, but you can fix ignorant or, perhaps, political insanity.

Stupid — mentally sluggish. Usually a genetic defect.

Ignorant — unenlightened. Usually a societal or cultural defect.

Insanity — doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. Usually a genetic defect, but it could be a societal or cultural flaw, as well.

After this last election, one must question the level of enlightenment of our electorate. Are they stupid? For the most part, no. Are they ignorant? A resounding, YES. Insane? That remains to be seen, but it could be possible.

Now that 50 percent of the electorate has been offended, let’s examine the reasons for their ignorance.

Usually ignorance isn’t their fault. They’re merely uninformed by the media or they’ve been misinformed by the education system. Or they lack the intellectual curiosity to do their political homework. Since that task is tedious and time consuming for those who still have employment, let’s give ‘em a break and pass the buck and place the blame on the following:

1. Our school system has been indoctrinating our students with Marxist doctrine since about 1938. That probably explains everything. California has just voted themselves a tax increase as they face fiscal Armageddon. Pure insanity. We have just re-elected a President who has increased unemployment, increased the national debt, and is in the process of reducing our military capabilities as he talks of doing just the opposite in all cases. More insanity. Or is it a willful ignorance born of ignoring the facts?

2. The national media tells us almost nothing of value regarding the national or worldwide political scene. They hid the details of the al-Qaeda attack on our embassy in Benghazi. They didn’t tell us of the systematic withdrawal of security support for that embassy during the months before the attack. And when they do let us know of the situation, it’s usually buried in the bowels of the newspaper or given short shrift on television news by spin doctors who are controlled by the White House.

3. The GOP hasn’t supported a truly conservative candidate since Ronald Reagan. Why? Wouldn’t Gingrich or Santorum have been good candidates? Gingrich won’t take no sass from nobody. He had the answers, but he was given a pass for the clean living Romney who ran a very refined and upscale campaign while failing to call out Obama on the Benghazi debacle among other things. Big question: is the GOP afraid of winning? If so, why? Something is definitely rotten in the inner sanctum of the party.

So, we shall get the government for which we asked, and it ain’t gonna be pretty. We shall get the government for which the electorate under the age of 55 has been educated and indoctrinated. The morality of our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution have been forgotten.

In the next four years, we shall see our nation die. The only ones dancing on the grave will be the Marxists and the Islamists. They thrive on dictatorships you know. End of story.
