Zack Hubbard has started a 5K run/walk at Desert Vista High for brain tumor research as he has fully recovered from brain surgery to remove a tumor.

The event will be at 10 a.m. on Nov. 10 at the Desert Vista track. Registration will start at 9 a.m. The cost is $5 to participate, and donations are accepted.

For those who can’t make the event but want to donate, go to http://www.ssbtr.org/help_our_cause/donate.html. At the bottom of the page, for who it is in honor of, put “DV Walk” in the comments section so that SSBTR knows what funds come from the walk.

The event is more than just the 5K as there are plans for a dunk tank with Desert Vista teachers being the victims. Additionally, there will be selling refreshments and SSBTR will be selling T-shirts.
