Bids for Kids event benefits Boys & Girls Clubs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley are gearing up for the 33rd Annual Bids for Kids Auction & Dinner presented by Toyota Financial Services. The event will run from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa. 3TV's Beverly Kidd will host the event for the third consecutive year, and the evening will feature dinner, entertainment, plus silent and live auctions with hundreds of items.

"The event must raise more than $424,000 in order for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley to continue offering quality after school and summer programs, and we need the communities' support now more than ever in sponsorships and auction items," said Tina Walton, 2010 Bids for Kids Chair. "We have 11 sites serving Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, Guadalupe, Mesa, Tempe, Queen Creek and the Gila River Indian Community."

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley is still looking for Bids for Kids sponsors and auction items from community businesses and individuals. Table and individual seating reservations are also available. In addition, a 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid will be raffled off the evening of Bids for Kids. Raffle tickets are $10, and the winner does not need to be present to win.
