Folks, we have a really serious problem. The Communist Party USA heartily supports Obama’s gun control plans.
Following is a quote from the Jan. 16 issue of the CPUSA newspaper, People’s World: “I will put everything I’ve got into this,” the president declared. But the task will be difficult, he said, because of “pundits and politicians and special interest lobbyists publicly warning of a tyrannical all-out assault on liberty, not because that’s true, but because they want to gin up fear or higher ratings or revenue for themselves.”
The publication was quoting from Obama’s gun control speech of Jan. 16, just a few days prior to his inaugural address. This is the Communist propaganda machine at work.
The words evoke great emotion from both sides of the political spectrum. Those who respect the Constitution of the United States are intellectually opposed to the prospect of further gun control since it is anathema to the Second Amendment to our Constitution. While those who would suspend our Second Amendment rights use the miasmic and visceral approach in trying to take away our right to keep and bear arms.
Also from People’s World in an article by Rick Nagin, titled “Fight to end gun violence is key to defending democracy,” Jan. 18, Nagin penned: “At his Jan. 16 press conference President Obama warned that winning the needed reforms will be difficult. ‘If Americans of every background stand up and say ‘enough!’ he said, ‘only then change will come.’ ‘It is not only, as Vice President Joe Biden said, “a moral obligation.” We must rally behind President Obama to protect our safety and security and our basic democratic rights.”
So there you have it. The Communist Party USA says that taking away our right to keep and bear arms will lead to “basic democratic rights.” When pigs fly!
Taking away our guns makes us safer and more secure? You’ve gotta be kiddin’ me! But, then that’s the way all Communist dictatorships were started. Take away their means of self defense and the people cannot fight back. Stalin did it. Mao did it. Castro did it. Kim did it. Hitler did it. Those dictators did it by violence. Jan Kozak, secretary of the Czech Communist Party, did it in Czechoslovakia in 1946 through parliamentary procedure. Is that what we’re doing in our country today? You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand that one.
The words of Patrick Henry, “Give me liberty or give me death!,” are going to be ringing from the mouths of millions of Americans as this year progresses. You can count on it.
