University Presbyterian Church of Tempe will host a series of events with experts who will discuss issues involving race in the United States and around the world, and how those issues relate to the bible.
Beginning Feb. 1, the church will host its 21st Annual Mission Month that explores issues people face today. The issue for 2014 is “Race, Racism and the Bible,” and the church will have a series of speakers come and talk about it every weekend in February.
The events are free and open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays, and the series ends with a potluck luncheon on Feb. 23. For more information, including a list of locations, visit upctempe.org/missionmonth.
