Authorities from the Tempe Police Department have arrested two teenagers for allegedly conspiring to murder one of the teen's grandmothers.

Sgt. Michael Pooley with the Tempe Police Department said a 15-year-old male wanted to have his grandmother killed because he was "tired of being in trouble and disciplined by her."

According to a police report, the teen's 17-year-old girlfriend was enlisted to help and said she could have the teen's grandmother killed.

Police said the plan was exposed when the teen left his Facebook page open on a family member's computer who saw messages between the two dating back to Thanksgiving.

Authorities said both teens admitted to the plan during an interview with detectives.

Tempe police Sgt. Mike Pooley said the teen said he wanted to make it look like an accident and suggested a car accident and other means. Pooley said the teen "didn't want her to suffer."

Authorities said the two were arrested Monday night. Police said they found pills and marijuana when they searched the 15-year-old's home.

Both teens are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, a class one felony. Authorities are not releasing their names because they are juveniles.

The District Attorney is still deciding whether to charge them as adults.

Police say both teens are students at Coronado High School in Scottsdale.

Pooley said authorities are still trying to track down the possible hit men.
