The World of Beer chain is opening its first Arizona location in July, with a bar on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe. The bar will serve 50 beers on tap from more than 40 countries, and more than 500 bottled beers. Customers can create their own six-pack combinations to take home, as well.
Construction has begun for the bar in the historic Tempe National Bank building at 526 S. Mill Ave. Built in 1912, it formally was home to an American Apparel.
The Tempe franchise is owned by Jessica Evans, who she plans to open at least six Arizona locations in the next 2 years.
