Hearing to seek input on Tempe judge’s performance

Tempe is holding a public hearing to get comments on the job performance of its presiding judge, MaryAnne Majestic. The hearing is scheduled for 5 p.m. March 29, in front of the Judicial Advisory Board. After 45 minutes of comment, the board will discuss the judge’s performance and vote. The hearing will be held at the Tempe Police/Court Building, 140 E. Fifth St.

Written comments can be accepted by the board, and are due by March 23. Comments can be e-mailed to frankie_valenzuela@tempe.gov or sent by fax to (480) 350-8581.

Majestic was appointed to her first two-year term in June 2010, and previously served 16 years as a city judge in the Tempe Municipal Court. For more information, call (480) 350-8454.
