After more than five months of remodeling, Bashas’ in Tempe is celebrating the reopening of a state-of-the-art grocery this week.
The upgraded store on the southwest corner of Warner Road and McClintock Drive includes covered parking, a cafe with flat screen TVs, gourmet deli, an expanded deli with Peet’s Coffee and espresso drinks, organic and bulk foods, farm-fresh produce and more.
Area neighbors are invited to attend a free breakfast at the store from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, courtesy of Hickman’s Family Farms and Peet’s Coffee. During this event, enjoy breakfast, check out the new store, and enter to win a Bashas’ gift card. Bashas’ also will give a monetary donation to Children First Academy of Tempe as part of the store’s grand opening festivities.
Bashas’ new store is 45,115 square feet and employs 103 people, including cashiers, courtesy clerks, managers and other members. Store hours are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.

Is Basha's going to re-open some of it's shuttered stores, or has that ship sailed?
