A company specializing in copper, nickel and gold plating for electronics, defense and aerospace industries has opened a 10,000-square-foot facility in Tempe.

Foresight Finishing LLC, owned by Minneapolis natives Casey and Joe Weizel, currently employs 13 people and plans to add more in the coming months. They said they chose the Valley to be close to their customer base.

“After many locations were scouted, we felt Tempe offered us the best support in launching our new business,” said Casey Weizel.

Foresight last month received accreditation for the National Aerospace Defense Contractors Accreditation Program.

“Companies such as Foresight Finishing help Tempe stay at the forefront of important technology industries,” Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman said in a statement. “Their work on even the smallest components keeps our troops safe, our computers working and our airplanes flying.”

The business is located at 1102 W. Geneva Drive, Tempe.
