Cold Water Swim

Thrill-seekers are invited to a desert-style polar plunge Jan. 28 that benefits Tempe Special Olympics. Participants will jump into the coldish water at the swimming pool at the Lakes of Tempe, 5501 S. Lakeshore Drive. Anybody who doesn't want to brave the cool water can still register and join in other festivities.
