Officials have ended a lockdown at a middle school in Tempe that started when a student brought an air soft gun to school this morning.

In a press release, Tempe Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Michael Pooley said the lockdown started when two students told administrators at Fees College Preparatory Middle School that another student had brought a gun to campus.

Officials proceeded to place the school on lockdown at approximately 8 a.m. to conduct a search of the campus. They eventually located the student, who brought an air soft gun with him to school.

No students were injured or threatened during the incident.
