The second tower at West 6th in downtown Tempe will open a month ahead of schedule, allowing residents to move into the 30-story structure on Nov. 14. The Zaremba Group on Wednesday said the second and final tower will have model units ready for viewing by Sept. 15. Crews have nearly completed all the project’s recreational space and have been able to complete the residential space faster than expected, Zaremba said.

The opening of the second tower will complete a project that stalled in 2008 when then-owner Avenue Communities ran out of money on what was originally called Centerpoint Condominiums. Zaremba completed the 22-story tower and opened it Aug. 1. About 300 residents live in that tower. The taller Tower II has 186 apartments. The towers are the tallest buildings in the East Valley.
