His defense attorney declined to offer an explanation for his actions; but, I suspect that it may have something to do with the current 'climate' in Philadelphia. I used to love that city.. the history, the food, the people but, boy has it changed. The Liberty Bell, now encased in a hideous glass structure with armed guards (whose only response to any question is "Move on!" ) and security paraphernalia, used to just sit, open, in the park. The historical district is occupied by the rudest, meanest collection of 'humans' that I have encountered in various places on this planet. Those rudimentary expressions, of civilization, like 'please,' thank you,' excuse me.." have disappeared. In fact, in comparison, the occupants of that city have dropped, at least, three rungs on the ladder of evolution. After spending a day, or an hour, in that hellish place, it's a wonder that the defendant didn't threaten much worse.
