Business leaders and members of the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce have submitted their votes for the Chamber’s 3rd Annual Business Awards and will decide the winners on Sept. 20.
According to the Chamber’s website, local businesses have been nominated in three different categories and include:
• Small Business – The Barney Sports Complex, The Deli, and Primerica.
• Emerging – Olive Garden, Use My Guy Services, and Re Max.
• Large – Chick-Fil-A, San Tan Ford, and Schnepf Farms.
Only one business will win the honors out of each category. In order to be nominated, each nominee must be a Queen Creek Chamber member in good standing, have been in business for at least one year, show a dedication to excellent customer service, exemplify ethics and ‘best practices’, be active in the community and demonstrate growth and innovation.
According to Chamber President Marquis Scott, “The awards are a special way to recognize businesses that are really striving to succeed. It is an opportunity for the Queen Creek business community to come together and celebrate successes of peers. Winners will be featured in the Chamber’s marketing efforts and will each receive an award to display at their place of business.”
Connie Bunyard, owner and operator of Use My Guy Services, said, “We are delighted to be one of the finalists in the ‘Emerging’ category. We have really worked hard and are so excited to be a part of this community and this Chamber. We can’t wait to find out who gets chosen!”
The awards dinner will be at Encanterra Country Club, 37229 N. Encanterra Drive, San Tan Valley. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m., with dinner following at 7 p.m. Cost is $50 per person.
