Pinal County health officials are planning to extend the hours of public health clinics across the county and open some on Saturday.
The new hours of operation are scheduled to change Aug. 11.
“Many of our clinic patrons have work or school commitments during the traditional Monday through Friday workday,” said Tom Schryer, public health director.
Services differ at the clinics. Immunization services, counseling for sexually transmitted diseases, family planning and cancer screening are available.
The county clinics also handle the WIC programs and Food Plus.
