A San Tan Valley man has been convicted in the 2006 shooting death of a man in Pinal County Superior Court.

Jacey Wild Bridwell, 30, was found guilty of second-degree murder after a jury trial in Judge Boyd T. Johnson’s courtroom last week, according to information from the Pinal County Attorney’s Office.

On Sept. 2, 2006, in San Tan Valley, Bridwell shot Jonathan Adolph Duarte, 26, once in the head, killing him. Bridwell then stole Duarte’s brand new truck and drove it to Utah, where he abandoned it.

Bridwell will be sentenced on May 2.
