In an attempt to better combat identity theft, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in partnership with the Shred-It company and Westech Recyclers is sponsoring a shred-a-thon on Thursday.

The event, which will be held from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the Target store, 21398 S. Ellsworth Loop Road, Queen Creek, will allow residents to bring up to two boxes of personal and financial documents to be shredded. The store is located near Ellsworth Loop Road and Rittenhouse Road.

Volunteers from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will help people unload boxes. For more information on combating identity theft, visit www.maricopacountyattorney.org.

This was the easiest thing that I had to do. I had two boxes of shredding that would've taken me forever to shred on my own. I went this morning and they unloaded the boxes for me and I didn't even have to get out of the car. I appreciate that this was done in Queen Creek.
