Cloud Road east of Ellsworth Road will close for roughly a week, starting Tuesday. During the closure, only right turns will be permitted from Cloud onto Ellsworth and left turns will not be permitted. Rittenhouse and Ocotillo roads are suggested as alternate routes.

The closure is part of a project to widen Ellsworth from 1,250 feet south of Empire Boulevard to Cloud. The work includes boosting Ellsworth from two to six lanes, installing a curb and gutter, adding a raised median, improving drainage and adding a traffic signal at San Tan Boulevard, Riggs Road and at Cloud.

The project is being done by the Maricopa County Department of Transportation, which has a 24-hour construction hotline: (480) 350-9288.
