The City of Mesa announced it has continued to see growth and success in expanding the high education initiative started in 2011.
The City has received positive reports from many educational partners of their expanding programs and growth in student enrollment. Wilkes University is expecting a 30-percent increase in enrollment for the fall semester and Benedictine University expects to double its numbers as well.
Westminster College, however, announced it has closed its Mesa location because of a lack of enrollment.
Mesa’s Office of Economic Development began Mesa Educates U, a marketing and scholarship program last year. The campaign is an initiative to place Mesa as a destination for higher education in Arizona and the Southwest and will continue to grow as new programs come online in the future.
