Mesa will kick off the new year with Motorcycles on Main on Jan. 4.
During the last event of 2012, more than 1,000 bikes will line the street from Center to Robson.
Each first Friday of every month, motorcycles swarm onto Main Street around 6 p.m. and park along the street on both sides of the median. Streets are closed to cars while bands perform, vendors sell food and participants enjoy a beer garden.
The event is put on by the Downtown Mesa Association.
