Several sixth graders at Superstition Springs Elementary School in Gilbert built packages filled with expressions of their artistic talents to a local hospice.
The students in Judiann Maas’ class assembled holiday packages loaded with friendship bracelets, holiday bell necklaces, poems and personalized greeting cards to give to every patient at Hospice of the Southwest the week before Christmas.
“We are always amazed at the warm and kindhearted gestures from those in our community. It is volunteers like Judiann Maas who make it possible for us to provide the love and care our patients and their families really need and greatly appreciate. It is especially heartwarming to see Judiann introduce her students to the importance of volunteerism at such a young age,” said Patient Administrator Leslie Cooper in a press release.
