Authorities are trying to determine the cause of death of a passenger on a flight from Nebraska to Arizona.
Allegiant Air officials say the incident occurred Thursday afternoon on Flight 115 from Grand Isle, Neb.
Fire Department Spokesman Forrest Smith said man his 80s was thought to be unconscious when the plane landed. When fire crews arrived, the man was pronounced dead.
Mesa police spokesman Tony Landato said the man, who is from Lincoln Nebraska, was flying to Mesa to visit family.
The passenger's name hasn't been released yet. Authorities said Thursday that the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office was working to determine the cause of death.
