With the day after Christmas approaching, residents of Mesa who want to dispose of their tree can do so by dropping them off for free through Jan. 19.

The city will accept trees — flocked trees and wreaths will not be accepted — that have had their nails, stands, tinsel, lights and ornaments removed at locations across Mesa beginning Dec. 26. Those locations are the City of Mesa Solid Waste Management Department, East Mesa Service Center, Superstition Springs Police and Fire Substation, Mountain View Park and Dobson Ranch Park.

Drop offs are free, and the city will do curbside pickups for $19.99. For addresses of the drop offs points or more information, visit mesarecycles.org.
