The closure of the Red Mountain Library has been extended again, with the latest reopening date tentatively set for Tuesday. The library closed after a Dec. 28 water line break, and unusually frigid weather has lengthened the amount of time needed to dry the floors.

Until the branch reopens, patrons can return books or pick up items on hold at the library, 635 N. Power Road. The staff is available during the closure to fill hold requests, which can be made at (480) 644-3184. The Program Room remains open, allowing patrons to browse a limited selection of books. Patrons can also visit the city’s two other branches, the Main Library at 64 E. First St., or the Dobson Ranch Library, 2425 S. Dobson Road.
