The Mesa Police Department is investigating a series of tire slashings in which the suspects have targeted the same neighborhood twice in November.
According to a press release sent by the department, officers responded to a call at 625 W. Posada Ave. concerning multiple tire slashings at approximately 11 p.m. on Nov. 27. Officers discovered 20 vehicles had their tires slashed or cut that evening, with three owners saying they had multiple vehicles damaged that night.
The incident is similar to one that took place in the same neighborhood on Nov. 11, and some of the vehicles that sustained damage in the first incident were targeted in the second wave of tire slashings.
Officials believe the suspects live in the area, and anyone with information about the incidents should contact the department at (480) 644-2211 or call the Silent Witness Hotline at (480) 948-6377.
