A 20-year-old student of Career Success High School in Mesa accused of stealing a laptop computer from a classroom was arrested on suspicion of theft on Wednesday.
Ismael Pesqueira, who had outstanding warrants for drug-related offenses and hindering prosecution and is on probation for other offenses, was arrested about 2:30 p.m. after police say he stole the computer from the school at 1455 S. Stapley Drive.
Pesqueira hid the laptop in a friend’s backpack, but officers recovered it and also confiscated a marijuana pipe from him, police said.
