Months of collaboration and research into the history and community of Mesa will culminate Wednesday and Thursday when Mesa on Stage presents “If Not Me, Who?”

The performance at the Mesa Arts Center will features students sharing stories of Mesa’s founding and citizen strength as a way to motivate youth toward civic involvement and action.

The idea was born out of a call from Mesa leaders to, “Build a better Mesa.”

Lynn Johnson and put into a script about giving back. The presentation will also videos showcasing individual contributions to the community and “points of pride.”

Six performances are scheduled, including four student matinees.

The cost to students is free; public tickets are $27 and $17.All proceeds benefit youth as Mesa on Stage is a volunteer, not-for-profit community project.
