Mesa Community College’s Music Business Program will be partnering up with Chandler’s Gangplank to a new course called MCU215 Music Industry Seminar: Innovation in Music Technology.
The course, which lasts for eight weeks, will begin in the fall and be offered Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Gangplank headquarters in downtown Chandler. Students will be teamed with local artists, bands or songwriters to help them gain a solid introduction to current music marketing strategies. Gangplank will engage a leading technology specialist each week to teach students about best practices for optimizing technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, iTunes, Stageit, Google Analytics and more.
For information about the new course and MCC’s collaboration with Gangplank please contact Alexandra Perdue, Music Business Program Director, at musicbiz@mesacc.edu.
