Mesa is asking residents to check whether they are among the two-thirds of the city’s residents who will switch their trash and recycling collection schedules beginning Monday.
The city is changing service days to improve efficiency and save an estimated $43,570 a year. Under the new schedule, residents still need to have barrels out by 6 a.m. and on all holidays.
Residents can see the new schedules at www.mesarecycles.org or by calling the temporary barrel collection schedule hotline at (480) 833-2011. Representatives are available 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
