Donate to the Mesa United Way in the coming weeks and you’ll be helping homeless people, low-income families, residents with disabilities and others who need the community’s help to meet basic needs.
With a little more than three months to go, the Mesa United Way is $630,000 away from meeting its 2011-2012 Pledge Campaign goal of $2,825,000. So far, $2,195,000 has been raised in the campaign that started July 1, 2011, and ends June 30.
The money is coming in at a time when community needs have never been greater due to the economy. The Mesa United Way helps fund 26 non-profit organizations, which administer 41 programs benefiting those in need.
